This is the penalty for drinking in Singapore, got a feeling there aren't too many repeat offenders. Two minutes of brutal punishment ... Don't watch this if you get queezy at the sight of blood. This man was caught driving while under the influence of alcohol, in Singapore. It was his first offense. I would bet we could reduce many crimes other than drunk driving if this type of punishment was used in the United States. Nine lashes with a rattan cane for drunk driving first offense. The second is worse! He must have have great difficulty sitting down for several weeks.
